Final Finish - Tgrid in Bristol, Indiana at C&B CUSTOM MODULAR INCORPORATED

Position Objective: The Final Finish T-Grid Technician is responsible for completing the final installation, adjustment, and quality inspection of T-grid ceiling systems within commercial modular buildings. This position ensures that ceiling grids are properly aligned, level, secure, and finished to company and customer specifications before the modular unit leaves the production facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete final installation and finishing of suspended T-grid ceiling systems in commercial modular units
• Install, cut, fit, and adjust main runners, cross tees, wall angles, hangers, and related ceiling components
• Measure and lay out T-grid systems according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements
• Ensure ceiling grids are square, level, properly aligned, and securely installed; make final adjustments and corrections to ceiling grid systems prior to shipment
• Inspect completed work for gaps, misalignment, damaged components, or other deficiencies; identify and correct minor installation and finish issues
• Repair or replace defective or improperly installed components
• Coordinate with other production departments to resolve issues that affect final ceiling installation
• Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, layouts, and installation details
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and other equipment required for the job
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow established production procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Complete assigned work within production schedules and established quality expectations
• Report material shortages, quality concerns, production issues, and safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor
• Assist with other final-finish and modular production tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

• Previous experience with suspended ceilings, T-grid systems, commercial construction, drywall, framing, or interior finishes
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and measurements
• Strong understanding of basic units of measurements, fractions and layout
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience

Job Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, climb, and work overhead for extended periods
• Lift and move ceiling grid materials and equipment
• Perform detailed work requiring hand and eye coordination
• Work safely from ladders, platforms, or other elevated surfaces
• Regularly work in an environment that includes machinery, dust, noise and varying temperatures
