DIETARY AIDE (KITCHEN WORKER) - FULL TIME in Avon, Connecticut at AVON HEALTH CENTER

As dietary aide, you will help to prepare and serve food in a family-owned, friendly nursing home setting. You will report to the Director of Dining Services. This is a FULL TIME position and includes every other weekend and some holidays.

$17.50/hour plus weekend differential when applicable

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Help prepare food and meals
• Wash/clean dishes and washroom duties
• Deliver food to facility residents
• Assist with special catering events at facility
• Assist in kitchen as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Work independently and as a team player
• Communicate well
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen
• Deal tactfully with residents, family members, and staff
• May be required to stand for long periods of time
• May have to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies without restrictions
• Must be able to work every other weekend and some holidays as needed by department
• Must be reliable - our facility does not close for inclement weather; we are open 365 days a year

EXPERIENCE:

Experience preferred but will train the right candidate!
