Business Development Executive

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Business Development Executive in the United States.

This role is a senior, high-impact business development position focused on driving growth within the financial services sector, particularly among large and complex institutions. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing strategic opportunities with banks, credit unions, and fintech organizations, acting as a trusted advisor to executive-level stakeholders. The role requires a consultative, solution-oriented approach, translating client challenges into tailored offerings in collaboration with internal consulting and delivery teams. Operating in a highly autonomous, performance-driven environment, you will own the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to contract execution. This position also plays a key role in shaping go-to-market strategy through direct market feedback and relationship-building. It is ideal for a senior commercial professional who thrives in complex deal environments and enjoys influencing outcomes at the executive level.

Accountabilities
  • Own and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with revenue growth objectives across large financial institutions and fintech clients.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship development.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key decision-makers, serving as a trusted advisor on transformation and technology initiatives.
  • Lead the full sales cycle including prospecting, solution shaping, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
  • Partner with consulting, product, and marketing teams to design and deliver tailored client solutions.
  • Influence go-to-market strategy by leveraging client feedback, market insights, and competitive intelligence.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and executive networking forums.
  • Manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and revenue performance tracking.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in business development, consulting, or strategic partnerships within financial services.
  • Proven track record of independently closing complex, high-value deals in banking or fintech environments.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services, including banking, capital markets, and digital transformation trends.
  • Established network of senior-level contacts within large financial institutions (ideally $5B–$10B+ AUM).
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a high-trust, high-accountability environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a consultative sales mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence internal stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation aligned with senior-level, revenue-generating roles.
  • Fully remote work environment with high autonomy.
  • Performance-driven culture focused on ownership, impact, and strategic growth.
  • Opportunity to engage directly with senior executives at leading financial institutions.
  • Exposure to high-value, complex deal cycles in the financial services and fintech space.
  • Collaborative environment working alongside consulting, product, and strategy experts.
  • Travel opportunities for client engagement, conferences, and industry events (up to 50%).
