Job Description:

The Corporate Nurse Manager provides executive leadership for nursing and clinical operations across the organization. This role is responsible for developing and implementing standardized nursing practices, monitoring clinical performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving quality improvement initiatives across multiple correctional healthcare facilities. The Corporate Nurse Manager partners with executive leadership to improve patient outcomes, support operational excellence, and ensure the delivery of safe, ethical, and evidence-based healthcare.

Location:

Massachusetts (multiple locations) – Regional travel required, with occasional travel throughout New England.

Hours:

40 hrs. per week

Salary:

$150,000–$210,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities.

Job Description:

  • Establish and maintain organization-wide nursing standards, policies, and clinical protocols.
  • Provide executive oversight of nursing practice, including intake screening, chronic disease management, medication administration, infirmary operations, emergency response, and collaboration with behavioral health services.
  • Promote evidence-based correctional nursing practices and serve as the organization's clinical nursing authority.
  • Direct nursing operations across multiple correctional facilities.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing models that meet contractual, operational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop standardized clinical workflows and support telehealth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with custody leadership to maintain safe and effective healthcare operations.
  • Lead responses to significant clinical events, mortality reviews, and sentinel event investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with NCCHC, ACA, Department of Correction regulations, CMS, OSHA, and applicable public health standards.
  • Lead accreditation preparation and survey readiness.
  • Oversee quality assurance, infection prevention, risk management, and performance improvement programs.
  • Monitor key clinical performance indicators and implement corrective action plans to improve patient outcomes and reduce organizational risk.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop nursing leaders and clinical staff.
  • Promote leadership development, succession planning, competency validation, and continuing education.
  • Foster employee engagement and support workforce initiatives.
  • Develop and manage nursing budgets while maintaining high-quality patient care.
  • Evaluate staffing efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
  • Participate in contract development, implementation, and renewal activities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, organizational growth, and new business initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (multi-state licensure preferred).
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (MSN, MHA, or MBA).
  • Proven track record of progressive nursing leadership and operational management.
  • At least 5 years of senior leadership experience at the Director, Regional Director, or executive level.
  • Experience in correctional healthcare, public health, behavioral health, or other complex healthcare environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively within secure correctional environments while collaborating with custody personnel.
  • Willingness to travel between corporate headquarters and assigned facilities.
  • Experience leading large nursing teams, including regional leadership and 50 or more nursing staff.
