About the Role
We're looking for a Sr. HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic, hands-on HR resource for our US Compound Management Services division.
Based in our Newark, Delaware office, you'll partner directly with division leadership to guide employee relations, performance management, talent development, and workforce planning — while working with the Corporate HR team on policy, compliance, and complex risk matters.

What You'll Do
Be a Strategic HR Partner
- Serve as the primary HR contact and onsite resource for your assigned business unit(s)
- Build strong relationships with leaders to align HR strategy with business priorities
- Coach managers on employee relations, performance, leadership effectiveness, and development
- Support workforce planning, organizational design, and change management efforts
Own Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Independently manage employee relations issues, including investigations and recommended resolutions
- Guide leaders through performance management, coaching conversations, and improvement plans
- Own the performance management cycle — goal setting, reviews, development planning, and merit reviews
Lead Talent Acquisition & Development
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for your business unit, from sourcing through offer
- Lead new hire onboarding to set employees up for success from day one
- Partner with leaders on development planning and talent review discussions
Drive HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain accurate HRIS records and ensure compliance with policy and employment law
- Support leave of absence and workers' compensation processes
- Lead job description updates and partner on compensation reviews
- Ensure consistent application of HR policy across your division
Champion Culture & Engagement
- Lead engagement initiatives that boost morale, retention, and productivity
- Foster a positive, values-driven workplace culture at the site/division level
Contribute to Continuous Improvement
- Provide workforce metrics and reporting to support company-wide HR initiatives
- Identify and propose improvements to HR processes and employee experience
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will not have direct reports, however, will be a coach and mentor to supervisors and managers. Will lead and train supervisors/managers within division on policies, procedures, leadership best practices and HR systems.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years supporting business leaders directly
- Experience in a lab or warehouse environment preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Comfort working autonomously; prior experience in a standalone HR role a plus
- Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
- Sharp attention to detail and strong judgment with confidential information
- A proactive, self-directed approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft/Google productivity tools
Working Environment
This is an onsite role based 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, in the Newark, Delaware office to support business hours. Work is conducted across both office and lab/warehouse environments, and involves regular computer and desk work along with close collaboration with leaders and employees across the organization.
Travel
This role requires travel approximately once per quarter to other CMS division sites, including our locations in Newark, DE (FAS) and Cumberland, MD.
