Position: Full-Time Dental Assistant
Are you an experienced Dental Assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced specialty environment? Do you take pride in providing excellent patient care while working alongside a skilled specialist?
Wave Dental Specialists is a growing multi-specialty dental practice in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, and we are looking for a dependable, motivated Dental Assistant to primarily support our Endodontist.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys specialty dentistry but also wants the opportunity to learn, grow, and cross-train in other specialties. While your primary focus will be Endodontics, you'll have the flexibility to jump in and support other departments when needed.
What You’ll Do- Assist the Endodontist during a variety of procedures, including root canals and other endodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays and assist with diagnostic imaging
- Provide chairside assistance and anticipate the doctor's needs throughout procedures
- Assist with microscopes and specialty endodontic equipment
- Help with patient seating, treatment preparation, and post-operative instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical environment
- Provide exceptional patient care and help patients feel comfortable throughout their treatment
- Accurately document treatment and maintain patient records
- Work closely with the clinical and administrative teams to keep the schedule running efficiently
- Cross-train and assist in other specialties throughout the practice as needed
- Previous dental assisting experience required
- Endodontic experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with an endodontist and dental microscopes is a plus
- Experience with Open Dental preferred
- Experience with iTero or other intraoral scanners preferred
- Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume specialty environment
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication and patient-service skills
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to learn and support multiple specialties

Requirements:Education and Training
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one-year related experience and/or training or the equivalent of a combination of education and experience in the dental profession.
- Valid X-ray certificate.
- Current license if CDA, RDA, or EFDA (per state requirements).
- CPR & first aid certificate.
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
