The Marketing Specialist develops, plans and executes marketing initiatives that support the Cousins Subs system and our corporately owned locations. We’re looking for an experienced marketer who is comfortable independently managing projects, building relationships and taking initiatives from planning through execution.
This role will lead and execute a variety of marketing initiatives, including promotions, events, fundraising, budgeting, in-store POP, catering, local partnerships and more. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with the Marketing and Field Services teams to execute initiatives that support sales, strengthen local markets and build connections within the communities we serve.
This is a hybrid position that combines time at our Support Center, remote work and regular time in the field supporting restaurants and local marketing initiatives. Travel to Cousins Subs locations, events and partnerships will be required based on business needs.
What will you be responsible for?Local Store Marketing & Store Growth- Develop and execute local marketing plans for assigned restaurants, including new and remodeled stores.
- Build relationships with Cousins Subs store employees, franchisees, local businesses and community organizations.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales, community engagement and store performance.
- Conduct marketing audits to help ensure consistency across the system.
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned local and third-party partnerships.
- Develop and execute partnership activations, promotions and marketing programs.
- Manage partnership relationships, timelines and deliverables.
- Generate new sales opportunities through grassroots outreach, catering, local business development and partnerships.
- Build relationships with local businesses, organizations and catering customers.
- Manage catering orders and drive repeat business.
- Execute approved Local Store Marketing and New Store Opening marketing budgets.
- Track spending, invoices and project commitments.
- Manage project timelines and coordinate marketing expenses to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
- Maintain restaurant hours, menus, pricing and product information in OLO.
- Coordinate updates for new products, promotions, store changes and closures.
- Manage corporate Local Store Marketing print orders, inventory and distribution.
- Coordinate corporate donations, donation nights, community events and other local marketing initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to increase Cousins Subs' involvement in local communities.
- Coordinate with franchisees, vendors and internal teams to execute assigned initiatives.
- Track marketing performance and sales results across assigned initiatives.
- Evaluate campaign and program effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve results.
- Provide recommendations based on performance, market opportunities and business needs.
- 3+ years of relevant professional marketing experience.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects and marketing initiatives from planning through execution.
- Strong relationship-building, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities and develop recommendations that support sales and business growth.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with business partners, vendors, community organizations or other external stakeholders.
- Experience in restaurant, franchise, hospitality, retail or another multi-location environment preferred.
- Experience with local store, field or multi-unit marketing preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, preferred.
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and ability to travel to Cousins Subs restaurants, events and local partnerships as needed.
