Electrical Field Prefabricator
Position Summary
The Electrical Prefabrication team member is responsible for assembling and preparing electrical components and materials in a controlled shop or prefabrication environment for use on active construction projects.
This is an entry-level position designed for someone with a basic understanding of electrical construction who is dependable, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with hand and power tools. Extensive electrical experience is not required.
The ideal candidate should understand the basics of electrical installation and be able to recognize common electrical materials and components.

Successful Prefabrication team members are dependable, mechanically inclined, safety-minded, and detail-oriented. They take pride in producing accurate, consistent assemblies that allow our field electricians to install work more safely and efficiently.
Previous electrical experience is helpful, but reliability, work ethic, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to learn are equally important for this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical components according to drawings, instructions, measurements, or established prefab standards.
- Prepare electrical assemblies for delivery and installation on construction projects.
- Measure, cut, bend, and prepare conduit as directed.
- Assemble boxes, supports, brackets, racks, and other electrical components.
- Prepare and organize materials for electrical installations.
- Identify common electrical materials including conduit, fittings, boxes, supports, hardware, wire, and cable.
- Use basic hand and power tools safely and correctly.
- Follow measurements and instructions to produce consistent and accurate assemblies.
- Label, package, organize, and stage completed prefab assemblies for shipment to jobsites.
- Assist with maintaining inventory of prefab materials and supplies.
- Inspect completed assemblies for quality and accuracy before they are sent to the field.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Communicate material shortages, damaged materials, or quality concerns to supervision.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet project production schedules.
- Perform additional prefabrication and material-related duties as assigned.
- Entry-level position; extensive electrical experience is not required.
- Basic understanding of electrical construction and installation preferred.
- Ability to identify or quickly learn common electrical materials and components.
- Previous electrical helper, construction, manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or mechanical experience is a plus.
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure and perform basic measurements.
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow drawings, written instructions, and verbal directions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn electrical construction methods and prefabrication processes.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry electrical materials and assemblies.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
