This leadership role focuses on driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across commercial diagnostics functions within a fast-evolving life sciences environment. The position plays a critical part in embedding structured improvement methodologies to enhance performance, productivity, and customer impact across the India region. You will work closely with senior leadership teams to shape commercial strategies and identify high-value improvement opportunities. The role combines strategic influence with hands-on execution of transformation initiatives, including Kaizen and policy deployment. It requires strong cross-functional leadership to build capability, strengthen process discipline, and scale best practices across teams. Based in Bangalore, the position offers a dynamic, fast-paced, and impact-driven environment with regional and global exposure.
Lead and drive the implementation of continuous improvement and operational excellence practices across commercial diagnostics functions in India, ensuring consistent application of structured methodologies and measurable business impact.
- Champion the deployment of DBS principles, tools, and frameworks across cross-functional teams to improve growth, profitability, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the design and execution of commercial strategies.
- Lead Kaizen events and policy deployment initiatives to build a strong pipeline of sustainable operational improvements.
- Develop and deliver DBS training programs to strengthen organizational capability and ensure consistent adoption of best practices.
- Foster collaboration across functions and regions, ensuring alignment, knowledge sharing, and performance consistency.
- Monitor and improve key commercial performance metrics while driving accountability and execution excellence.
Strong experience in operational excellence and commercial transformation within healthcare or diagnostics environments, with proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- 15+ years of experience in operational excellence, ideally within healthcare or life sciences sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial roles with strong understanding of business performance drivers.
- Deep expertise in continuous improvement methodologies (DBS, Lean, Kaizen or equivalent).
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with excellent presentation and reporting skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, lean, and evolving environments.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
