Overview
We are seeking a Rental Technician responsible for the safe transportation, installation, and sanitation of portable restrooms and trash trailers. This role ensures that all units meet company health and safety standards while providing professional service to customers at various job sites.
Primary Responsibilities
· Service & Maintenance: Deliver, pick up, and service portable restrooms (Porta Johns) and trash trailers at customer sites. Perform routine cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking of units according to health and safety standards.
· Equipment Operation: Operate vacuum pump trucks, trailers, and related service equipment safely and efficiently. Demonstrate proficiency in towing, positioning, and backing trailers in compliance with safety standards.
· Inspection & Repair: Inspect units for damage, leaks, or mechanical issues; report or perform minor repairs as needed. Secure and properly place units at job sites to ensure stability and customer satisfaction.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate service logs, deliver records, and route documentation. Record all daily activities in a computer -based job logging systems, including route completion, unit condition, and uploading photos of completed services.
· Safety & Compliance: Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety guidelines at all times. Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of service vehicles, tools and equipment.
· Customer Service: Communicate professionally with customers regarding service schedules and site requirements. Assist with loading, unloading, ad yard organization when not on service routes.
Qualifications
· Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
· Proven experience in towing and backing up trailers.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
· Basic smartphone/tablet proficiency for digital logging and GPS navigation.
Essential Skills
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift heavy equipment, pull long hoses, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
· Skill in placing units on uneven ground to ensure they remain stable and accessible to users.
· Ability to follow optimized routes efficiently to ensure all service stops are completed on schedule.

· Detail Orientation: High attention to detail regarding unit cleanliness and the accuracy of service logs.
· Customer Professionalism: Strong communication skills to interact with site managers and represent the company positively.
· Situational Awareness: Ability to identify potential safety hazards on a job site before beginning work.
Working Conditions
· Environment: Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain).
· Exposure: Regular exposure to sanitation chemicals, waste products, and unpleasant odors.
· Safety: Work often takes place in high-traffic construction zones or remote industrial sites requiring strict PPE usage.
