Sales Account Executive- Sustainability Consulting

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sales Account Executive – Sustainability Consulting in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of sales and environmental impact, focusing on helping organizations adopt and implement sustainability strategies that drive measurable change. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while expanding existing client relationships across industries such as construction, manufacturing, and corporate operations. The position requires a consultative sales approach, translating complex sustainability services into clear business value for senior decision-makers. You will engage with clients on solutions such as life cycle assessments, energy audits, LEED certification, and waste reduction strategies. Working closely with technical and operations teams, you will help define project scope, pricing, and delivery feasibility. This is a high-impact role for a commercially driven professional who is passionate about sustainability and capable of influencing strategic environmental decisions at an organizational level.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and grow new client accounts while consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets for sustainability consulting services.
  • Generate and manage a strong pipeline of leads, ensuring structured progression from prospecting to closing.
  • Engage senior-level stakeholders to identify needs and position tailored sustainability solutions aligned with business and environmental goals.
  • Close sales opportunities in a timely and structured manner while maintaining strong commercial discipline.
  • Collaborate with internal operations and technical teams to define project scope, budgets, and delivery models.
  • Ensure accurate CRM management and maintain high-quality records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
  • Support cross-functional coordination to ensure successful service delivery and long-term client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably within sustainability, environmental services, construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to sell technical or consultative services to senior and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability concepts, environmental services, and industry pricing models.
  • Demonstrated track record of generating $2M+ in annual sales performance.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Zoho or similar platforms for pipeline and deal management.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills with a consultative sales mindset.
  • Passion for sustainability and familiarity with LEED or sustainable operations is a strong advantage.
