Job Description
A Karate Instructor at Sun City Lincoln Hills leads safe, engaging group fitness classes while creating and updating class programs that align with established fitness principles. This role is ideal for someone who loves movement, thrives in front of a group, and delivers exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead a variety of group fitness classes following advertised formats and levels.
• Create and update class programming using established group fitness principles.
• Maintain studio and equipment, including setup and cleanup.
• Provide outstanding customer service and foster a welcoming environment.
• Attend required meetings, events, and continuing education workshops.
• Arrive early to greet participants and prepare the room; secure substitutes when needed.
• Report safety concerns and equipment issues
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current karate certification
• Current Adult CPR/AED certification.
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
• Must be able to understand, speak, read and write in English.
The position requires the ability to work in fast paced indoor and outdoor environments with flexible hours. Physical demands include lifting to 45 lbs., standing for extended periods, and remaining focused and positive amid frequent interruptions. Successful instructors are dependable, detail oriented, motivating, and committed to providing a welcoming, high quality fitness experience for residents.
