Nurse Educator Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Heart Failure Unit

• The Nurse Educator (RN) teaches nursing and patient care at the departmental and organizational levels to align with mission, vision and strategic goals.
• The Nurse Educator (RN) designs and implements education for nurses and nursing staff, including orientation, continuing education, competency development and development or revision of nursing guides (policy and procedures) to support changes in nursing or patient care.
• The Nurse Educator (RN) integrates evidence-based practice into program development.
• Responsible for outcomes of education programs.
• Collaborates with approved nursing colleges and universities for departmental/unit clinical experiences.

• Availability: 40 Hours a week
• Shift: 8:30am-5pm
• Office location: CaroMont Health Main Campus
• Benefits: Full time/includes 403B

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) with minimum of two years clinical experience in related area required. Requires progressive or critical care experience.
• Registered nurse (RN) license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state/compact license) required.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience in related specialty area required.
• Prior experience in educator role preferred
• Professional nursing certification upon hire or obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Demonstrated work experience and competency in nursing staff development.
• Demonstrated ability and experience in adult education.
• Prior experience in educator role preferred.
• Current knowledge of general and advanced nursing principles, adult education principles, methods, and techniques.
