HR GENERALIST
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist provides day-to-day HR operational support across Link 1 IT Solutions and its business units. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this remote individual-contributor role supports employees and managers through:
- HR administration;
- employee records;
- HRIS transactions;
- Onboarding and offboarding;
- Benefits and leave coordination;
- Compliance tracking;
- Recruiting administration; and
- Recurring HR processes.
The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, accurate, service-oriented, and able to manage confidential information while escalating complex or sensitive matters appropriately.

Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for routine employee and manager questions; provide approved information, track requests, and escalate exceptions or sensitive matters.
- Maintain accurate HRIS data and employee files; process lifecycle changes and conduct periodic records audits.
- Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, performance-management workflows, benefits, leave, accommodations, PTO, employment verifications, and payroll-related changes.
- Support employee relations by documenting concerns, organizing records, and assisting managers with approved performance documentation.
- Administer recurring compliance activities, including I-9s, notices, labor posters, training, record retention, policy acknowledgments, and audit follow-up.
- Provide recruiting, learning, acquisition-integration, engagement, retention, reporting, and cross-business-unit project support.
- Create clear templates, checklists, procedures, communications, manager guides, trackers, and self-service resources.
- Use Microsoft 365, approved AI tools, automation, and HR technology such as UKG to improve accuracy, consistency, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
- Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Three or more years of HR administration or operations experience, including employee records, HRIS transactions, onboarding/offboarding, benefits or leave support, and employee service.
- Working knowledge of federal employment requirements and experience supporting employees in multiple states.
- Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking, payroll, benefits, learning systems, Microsoft 365, AI, and automation; ability to learn and optimize new systems quickly.
- Strong organization, accuracy, judgment, communication, service orientation, discretion, and follow-through while managing competing priorities and confidential information.
- Ability to travel overnight or longer, generally 5 15%.
- Authorized to work for any employer in the US without future sponsorship.
- IT or professional services, multi-business-unit, PE-backed, or acquisition-driven experience is beneficial; SHRM-CP, PHR, or comparable certification is preferred.
