Full-Time | Daylight Shift

Standard Bent Glass is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team in East Butler, PA. This full-time position is responsible for inspecting glass products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet SBG quality standards, customer specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable industry requirements.

The Quality Inspector will work closely with Production and Quality to identify defects, document inspection results, and help ensure our products meet the quality requirements of our customers.

• Perform inspections of glass and components throughout the manufacturing process, including in-process and finished-product inspections.
• Visually inspect glass for defects such as cracks, scratches, bubbles, irregularities, and dimensional issues.
• Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify product dimensions and specifications.
• Review products against engineering drawings, customer specifications, work instructions, and applicable standards.
• Accurately document inspection results, test data, and quality issues.
• Identify and document non-conforming products and communicate issues to Production and Quality personnel.
• Follow ISO 9001 procedures and required quality documentation practices.
• Assist with identifying root causes of quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Verify inspection equipment is accurate and properly maintained and report calibration or equipment concerns.
• Work with Production and Quality to maintain product quality and improve manufacturing processes.
• Follow all company safety procedures and report potential safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in glass manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Comfortable using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects accurately.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive inspection tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
