Security Guard in Odessa, Texas at Medical Center Hospital

Position Summary:
Under direct/indirect supervision, provide a safe and secure environment, both internally and externally, throughout properties of the Ector County Hospital District. Perform routine standards as set forth in the Department Policies and Procedures Manual.

Education and Certification:
1. High School graduate or equivalent required upon hire or transfer to the department.
2. Valid Texas Class C driver's license required.
3. Must be 21 years of age or older.
4. Must be able to qualify for Texas Motor Vehicle Insurance
5. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
6. Be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Training and Experience:
1. Must be able to use personal computer, two-way radio, and telephone.
2. Security training is preferred.

Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Ability to perform
1. Must have visual, auditory and olfactory acuity.
2. Requires routine standing, walking and climbing.
3. Must be able to work under stressful conditions with varying work hours and shifts.
4. May require heavy lifting.
May encounter exposure to infectious disease.
