Summary:

Adena Corporation is seeking a Shotcrete & Plaster Applicator (Nozzleman) to join our Theming division. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient placement of plaster, shotcrete, GFRC, grout, mortar, fireproofing products, and specialty architectural finishes using pumping and spray equipment. The Nozzleman works closely with Pump Operators, Foremen, and field crews to ensure materials are applied according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements while supporting the successful execution of themed entertainment, architectural, and specialty construction projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with plaster, stucco, shotcrete, GFRC, or related spray-applied materials and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, teamwork, and craftsmanship.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Operate nozzles, hoses, and related application equipment to place plaster, shotcrete, GFRC, grout, mortar, fireproofing products, and specialty finishes.
2. Apply materials in accordance with project specifications, approved mockups, manufacturer recommendations, and quality standards.
3. Coordinate with Pump Operators and field crews to ensure proper material flow and consistent application.
4. Monitor material consistency, coverage, thickness, and finish quality throughout application operations.
5. Assist with setup, operation, maintenance, and breakdown of pumping equipment, hoses, compressors, and related tools.
6. Perform surface preparation and support finishing activities as needed to achieve desired project results.
7. Adhere to company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

1. Minimum two (2) years of plaster nozzleman, shotcrete, stucco, or related material application experience.
2. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
3. Working knowledge of plaster, stucco, shotcrete, GFRC, mortar, grout, fireproofing products, and specialty architectural finishes.
4. Ability to identify and correct application issues such as overspray, voids, rebound, inconsistent thickness, and finish defects.
5. Ability to safely operate application equipment, hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and related construction equipment.

Other:

1. Full-time; project-based schedules may include overtime and weekend work as needed.
2. Frequent project-based in state travel/commuting required, including overnight stays when necessary.
3. Ability to handle pressurized hoses, application equipment, and materials for extended periods.
4. Ability to work in outdoor environments, including wet, hot, humid, cold, dusty, and physically demanding conditions.
