Middle School Boys Basketball Head Coach in Allentown, Pennsylvania at Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School

Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as Middle School Boys Head Coach for our basketball program. The Head Coach will provide leadership, instruction, and mentorship to student-athletes, helping them develop both on and off the court.

Key Responsibilities:

Player Development:
- Plan and implement effective practice sessions focused on skill development, strategy, and teamwork.
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to players to help them improve their basketball skills and overall performance.

Game Preparation:
- Assist in scouting opponents, analyzing game footage, and developing game plans to maximize our team's success.
- Making strategic decisions during games, including substitutions and adjustments to game plans.

Leadership and Mentorship:
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and dedication both on and off the court.

Academic Support:
- Monitor student-athletes' academic progress and provide support and encouragement to ensure they maintain eligibility and excel in the classroom.
- Emphasize the importance of academic achievement and good study habits to student-athletes.

Program Promotion:
- Assist in recruiting and retaining student-athletes for the basketball program, promoting a positive image of the team and the school within the community.
- Participate in off-season activities, such as camps, clinics, and community events, to engage with potential players and build excitement for the program.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience playing and/or coaching basketball
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and techniques.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching team and positively influence student-athletes.
- Clearances: FBI fingerprints, PA state background check, child abuse history clearance, and a physical examination
