About Coastal Kids Home Care

Coastal Kids Home Care is a pediatric licensed home health agency. Come develop excellent skills, feel appreciated every day, you don't work short-staffed or feel like you've been run over by a truck at the end of a shift - 1:1 training in the home with an experienced nurse, safe and paid at full rate. Please take a look at the available cases below so we can discuss which one is drawing your interest the most *These are staffed based on experience and availability of case*


San Jose 95122 - 10-year-old boy diagnosed with paralysis, muscle weakness, chronic hypoxic respiratory failure, anxiety, heperalgesia, trach/vent and G tube. Parents are needing help S & S day shift 8 am - 4pm. Must be female and speak Spanish.

San Jose 95111 - 15-year-old boy diagnosed with Global developmental delay presenting with respiratory distress, feeding intolerance, hemorrhagic pancreatitis, and is trach/vent, seizures & g-tube dependent. The patient also needs nebulizer treatments during the day as well as administering different medications. *Spanish Speaking nurse preferred *Female nurses only* Needing: Monday – Friday pm shift Trach/vent

San Jose 95118 - 10-year-old sweet little boy who has a repaired heart, and several congenital problems. He is G-tube dependent, has lots of medications to be administered, patient is currently on oxygen (nasal cannula) and on a Bypap. The patient will need to be suctioned when needed and be monitored closely on his breathing. Family is in need of nursing help. He loves to cuddle when he is sad and needs a sweet nurse to care for him. Training nurses are available for 1:1 training w/ his care. Needing: Saturday/Sunday evenings.

Los Gatos 95032 - 17-year-old male with trach/vent, PEG tube dependence & muscle weakness, impaired mobility & wheelchair dependent. Patient has acute respiratory failure, dysphagia, and cognitive communication deficit. Hours pending per parents but needing bedside meet and greet asap. Patient is set to discharge from the hospital on 9/24.

Fremont 94536 - 23-year-old male diagnosed with Chronic respiratory failure, neuromuscular scoliosis, cardiomyopathy, pulmonary fibrosis and muscular dystrophy. Patient is a very sweet young man on a trach/vent and is G-tube dependent. Mom is very helpful and are in need of a Night Shift nurse. The nurse will be administering nebulizer treatments and medications and suctioning when needed. Needing RN/ LVN: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday evenings. *Trach & Vent FEMALE NURSE ONLY

All training is done by placing you in the home with a trained nurse and learning 1:1 with full pay. Full time is considered 30+ hours a week. We take all major holidays off! Apply for more information.

Qualifications

  • LVN license in the state of California
  • Proficiency in basic life support and patient care
  • Ability to assess and provide nursing care to pediatric patients
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy
  • Willingness to work in home health settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in a home setting, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs, administering basic life support as needed.
  • Manage tube feeding, and medication administration, while maintaining accurate electronic health records.
  • Collaborate with families and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on health management and safety practices.
