Job Description
Western Aircraft is seeking experienced and motivated A&P-certified Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and return-to-service procedures on a variety of aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer maintenance manuals, and company quality standards. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Work Schedule
Option 1: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (40+ hours per week)
Option 2: Friday–Sunday, three 12-hour shifts, paid as 40 hours
Hiring Incentives
Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance of up to $25,000, based on experience, certifications, and overall qualifications.
- Performs routine maintenance and inspections on general aviation aircraft
- Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of work
- Accurately completes required paperwork and work order details in Corridor
- Continually keeps clean and organized work area including personal toolbox
- Understands and follows safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner to accomplish work
- Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with general aviation airframes supported by Western Aircraft
- Advanced troubleshooting abilities
- Broad knowledge of aircraft systems
- Able to work overtime as needed, evenings and weekends
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, and demeanor
- Basic sheet metal skills and/or basic electrical capabilities considered a plus
- Gulfstream / Falcon / Embraer / Citation / Pilatus / Piper / King Air experience preferred
- Education:
- Airframe & Powerplant certifications required
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
- Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights; Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and 25 pounds overhead.
