Job Description

Registered Veterinary Technician (Surgery) – SAGE ConcordFull-Time 4/10 hr shifts per week
Compensation: $32–$42/hour, plus a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus!
Shift Differential: Additional $5.50/hour for hours worked between 6PM–6AMAbout SAGE ConcordSAGE Concord is a premier provider of specialty and emergency veterinary care, delivering a comprehensive range of services including Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Imaging, Neurology, Oncology, and Integrative Medicine.

As a Surgery RVT, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality surgical care to our patients. You'll work alongside board-certified surgeons and highly skilled veterinary professionals in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Preoperative Care: Prepare surgical suites assist with patient preparation.
  • Anesthesia: Administer, monitor, and adjust anesthesia during procedures, ensuring patient safety.
  • Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons by providing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and anticipating needs.
  • Postoperative Care: Monitor patient recovery, administer medications, maintain accurate medical records.
  • Radiography: Capture and process diagnostic X-rays as needed for surgical procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical equipment and instruments.
  • Client Communication: Provide clear, compassionate guidance on postoperative care and home recovery instructions.
  • Emergency Response: Assist with emergency surgical procedures when needed.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Who You AreWe’re seeking a dedicated, reliable, and team-oriented RVT who thrives in a surgical setting. You value patient care, precision, and strong communication.Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active and current California RVT license is required
  • Clinical experience in veterinary surgery
  • Strong mathematical skills (drug dosages, CRIs, estimates)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
