Sr. Director Analyst, Enterprise Architecture

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Director Analyst, Enterprise Architecture based in Canada.

This is a senior thought leadership role focused on shaping enterprise architecture insights that influence CIOs, CTOs, and executive decision-makers across global organizations. You will operate at the intersection of research, strategy, and client advisory, producing high-impact analysis on architecture trends, frameworks, and emerging technologies such as AI, data, applications, and infrastructure. The role blends deep technical credibility with executive-level storytelling, enabling organizations to translate complex architecture challenges into actionable strategies. You will engage directly with senior leaders through briefings, conferences, and advisory sessions, helping them navigate transformation and technology disruption. Operating within a global research community, you will contribute to shaping market direction and enterprise best practices. This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives on intellectual rigor, influence, and thought leadership.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead the creation and delivery of high-value enterprise architecture insights that guide global business and technology leaders. You will shape research agendas, develop frameworks, and produce actionable recommendations that support enterprise transformation and decision-making.

  • Develop and publish forward-looking research, insights, and best practices in enterprise architecture and related technology domains
  • Analyze market trends, technology shifts, and enterprise challenges to generate actionable guidance for CIOs and executive stakeholders
  • Deliver presentations, briefings, and advisory sessions to clients, prospects, and industry audiences in both virtual and in-person settings
  • Contribute to shaping research direction by bringing independent, provocative perspectives to internal research discussions
  • Review and ensure quality of peer research content while supporting continuous improvement of research methodologies
  • Engage with clients regularly to provide strategic, executive-level advice aligned to their architecture and transformation priorities
  • Mentor and support junior analysts, contributing to capability building within the broader research community
  • Collaborate across global teams to enhance research outputs and ensure consistency of frameworks and insights
Requirements:

This role requires deep enterprise architecture expertise combined with strong research, analytical, and executive communication skills. You bring significant experience operating at senior levels, with the ability to connect technical architecture domains to business strategy and organizational outcomes.

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise IT, architecture, or related technology leadership roles
  • Proven experience leading or directing enterprise architecture functions within complex organizations, ideally with exposure to CIO/CTO-level reporting lines
  • Strong expertise in one or more architecture domains such as AI, data, applications, or infrastructure
  • Ability to translate technical complexity into clear, strategic guidance for executive audiences
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize market trends and frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation experience
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology decisions to financial and organizational outcomes
  • Demonstrated credibility and executive presence with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in global, matrixed environments
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% when required
