Middle Reconciliation Specialist

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Middle Reconciliation Specialist in France.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance and payments professional to join a fast-growing international technology environment focused on operational excellence and innovation. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of payment reconciliation processes while collaborating with payment providers and internal finance teams. You will work with large volumes of financial data, helping maintain transparent reporting and smooth payment operations across multiple systems. The position combines analytical thinking, attention to detail, and process optimization within a collaborative remote-first culture. You will also contribute to automation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and reducing operational risks. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys solving complex reconciliation challenges with precision and accountability.

Accountabilities:

This role focuses on maintaining accurate reconciliation processes, ensuring payment transparency, and supporting operational efficiency across payment workflows.

  • Monitor and control reconciliation and payment settlement processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution
  • Maintain detailed reporting related to incoming payments and financial transactions
  • Communicate with payment providers regarding settlements, payment schedules, and operational issues
  • Coordinate currency conversion rates with payment providers and internal finance teams
  • Participate in the review and approval processes for contracts with payment providers
  • Ensure timely collection and organization of documentation and reports required for audits and internal reviews
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate payment issues, and implement corrective actions efficiently
  • Support optimization and automation initiatives related to reconciliation and payment control processes
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve operational transparency and reporting quality
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines financial operations experience with strong analytical abilities and a detail-oriented mindset in high-volume transactional environments.

  • 2+ years of experience as a Reconciliation Specialist or in related financial operations roles
  • Experience in finance operations, payment operations, or accounts receivable processes
  • Strong understanding of payment system auditing principles and financial reporting practices
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing detailed transaction analysis
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical thinking with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to quickly identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or operational issues
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach toward operational processes
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is considered an advantage
