MRO Coordinator in Palatka, Florida at Veritas Steel LLC

MRO Coordinators employed at Veritas Steel's Palatka location are responsible for assisting production with tools, supplies, and parts requirements to complete their work. They purchase and receive maintenance, repairs, and operations (MRO) supplies, parts, and non-capital equipment. Maintain inventory counts of non-vented items and communicate with corporate purchasing if orders need to be placed. Supporting the facility staff with other administrative duties as assigned.

Principle Duties & Responsibilites:

• Purchase and Receive orders according to established procedures
• Track both partial and complete orders
• Verify receipt of materials ordered
• Troubleshoot problems with orders or vendors and follow up on errors
• Maintain inventory counts of non-vented items and communicate when supplies need to be ordered
• Work with Corporate Purchasing/Accounting and make recommendations for cost-reduction initiatives and production improvements
• Validate all purchase orders against the Authority Matrix before execution
• Conduct monthly end inventory of MRO supplies
• Work closely with Maintenance Department employees to ensure the tool and supply room is organized, stocked, and monitored for optimum efficiency and cost control
• Assigns part numbers and location codes as needed
• Assist with inventory control and physical inventory as needed
• Perform routine audits for any obsolete or unused inventory
• Maintain software program for Maintenance and purchasing MRO items – add/change/delete part numbers, run required reports, as needed
• Researching items to quote through various means (internet, phone, registers, catalogs, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, required

• Previous experience with Microsoft Excel and demonstrated ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy, required
• A valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation, required
• MRO inventory management experience, preferred
• Inventory management accuracy
• Accurate and timely reporting of quantities of bulk use MRO
• Maintain the flow of supplies to the production floor
