Mobile Health Driver/Patient Access Representative

Work location: Based out of Texas Health Dallas

Work hours: Full-time, Monday - Saturday; 6:00am - 6:00pm; (4)10-hour shifts per week.

This is a grant funded position and subject to the award and continuation of the contract

Here's What You Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

• 1 Year Admissions/registrar, customer service, or medical/clinical office experience Preferred

• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)

• Driver's License required upon hire

• CDL - Commercial Driver's License (required within 90 days)

• DOTMD - DOT CDL Medical Certificate (required within 90 days)

• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (required)

Here's What You Will Do:

• Operate THR commercial vehicles in accordance with safety policy and procedures.

• Execute the timely delivery of mobile units to designated sites.

• Operate the mobile health unit on schedule and on the designated routes, complying with all traffic regulations to ensure that passengers have a safe and smooth ride. Determines and follows safe and efficient routes.

• Using a written checklist, conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the mobile health unit's.

• Keep the inside of the mobile health unit clean; removing trash after each trip and regulates heating/cooling and lighting for patient and passenger comfort.

• Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and supplies daily before and after mobile health unit clinics..

• Responsible for following Texas Health Resource's Fleet Standard Operating Procedures.

• Maintain current Commercial Driver's license, DOT Medical Certification, and other relevant certifications.

• Welcome patients and visitors both in person and over the phone using AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Explain, Duration, Thank You).

• Cultivate a welcoming and professional atmosphere throughout the registration process.

• Emphasize the importance of satisfying patient/customer needs through friendly and attentive interactions, proactively maintaining communication for a secure and pleasant experience.

• Accurately identify patients and register Mobile Health visits, while upholding regulatory and functional knowledge necessary for patient registration in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

• Collect and complete precise patient information, encompassing personal details, medical history, and insurance data.

• Explain and obtain consent for all registration forms.

• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, ensuring the acquisition of necessary documentation.

• Enter patient data meticulously into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, preserving data integrity and confidentiality.

• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure seamless transitions between registration and other medical services.

• Adhere strictly to privacy regulations and maintain the utmost confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information.

• Be responsible for adhering to Department Standard Operating Procedures.
