JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
-
The Ambulatory Surgery Center provides pre, intra and post op care to surgical and procedural sedation patients. We provide
service for the patient population of pediatrics, adolescents, adult and elderly patients. We work with a variety of provider
specialties in caring for people having outpatient surgery.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
Current unencumbered Oregon RN Licensure required.

Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire.

GSR Surgery Ambulatory Asb:
-
Pre-PACU-Post-op: ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire.

Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers.
