Position Overview

ArcLine Ready Mix is seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to lead all aspects of our ready-mix concrete operations. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep ready-mix or construction materials experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, develops high-performing teams, and is passionate about building a strong safety culture while delivering exceptional results.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for all ArcLine Ready Mix operations.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies that support sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
  • Lead, coach, and develop plant managers and department leaders while fostering accountability and a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, expense management, and overall profitability.
  • Champion a culture where safety is the highest priority by ensuring compliance with all company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensure consistent product quality and operational excellence across all ready-mix locations.
  • Partner with sales leadership to strengthen customer relationships, support market growth, optimize pricing strategies, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with the corporate environmental team to support permitting, regulatory compliance, reporting, audits, and environmental stewardship initiatives.
  • Partner with Human Resources and executive leadership on workforce planning, leadership development, succession planning, talent acquisition, and performance management.
  • Identify operational risks and opportunities for continuous improvement while implementing initiatives that increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Represent ArcLine Ready Mix with customers, vendors, community partners, and internal stakeholders while promoting the Company's values and reputation.
  • Lead organizational initiatives involving growth, acquisitions, operational improvements, and business transformation.
  • Promote collaboration and communication across all departments to achieve operational and financial objectives.

What You'll Bring

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Proven ability to successfully lead large, multi-site operations with diverse teams and functional responsibilities.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and full profit and loss accountability.
  • Extensive knowledge of ready-mix concrete operations, production processes, dispatch, fleet management, maintenance, and logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Excellent strategic planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a proven track record of developing leaders and building high-performing teams.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels, customers, vendors, and executive leadership.
  • Ability to successfully manage change, drive continuous improvement, and lead organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to balance operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with business systems, operational reporting tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and financial management software.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience within the ready-mix concrete, construction materials, aggregates, or related heavy industrial industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience with direct responsibility for multiple locations, business units, or operational regions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing full operational and financial performance, including profit and loss responsibility.
  • Proven success leading organizational growth, acquisitions, business integration, or large-scale operational change initiatives is strongly preferred.

Other Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel regularly between plant, office, and customer locations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as business needs require.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical leadership, accountability, continuous improvement, and the Company's core values.
  • Ability to successfully pass all pre-employment screenings required for the position, where applicable.
