Position Summary
Central Semiconductor is looking to add a Tin Whisker Mitigation Supervisor with hands-on manufacturing, plating, special process, or quality experience to join the Operations team. The Tin Whisker Mitigation Supervisor will be responsible for helping establish, supervise, and continuously improve Central’s Tin Whisker Mitigation process as the company expands its internal production capabilities.
This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for day-to-day workflow, process control, material readiness, quality coordination, documentation discipline, safety compliance, and employee direction within the TWM area. This position will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Operations to ensure TWM activities are properly scheduled, performed, inspected, documented, and improved over time.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily activities of the Tin Whisker Mitigation area, including plating, inspection coordination, material movement, documentation, and workflow priorities.
- Monitor TWM process steps to ensure consistent execution, accurate documentation, and adherence to approved procedures, customer requirements, and internal quality expectations.
- Provide daily direction, training, and support to assigned TWM personnel, including plating technicians and quality inspection staff, to reinforce expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and follow-through.
- Coordinate production schedules, material availability, equipment readiness, and inspection requirements to support customer demand and internal delivery timelines.
- Work closely with Quality and Engineering to review process issues, inspection results, nonconformances, root cause findings, corrective actions, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure the TWM area operates in compliance with applicable safety, environmental, chemical handling, PPE, housekeeping, and 6S expectations.
- Maintain required production, inspection, chemical, equipment, and process records in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and audit readiness expectations.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for TWM-related operational issues, including status updates, process risks, delays, quality concerns, and resource needs.

Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience in manufacturing, plating, surface finishing, chemical processing, quality, or a related technical field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, plating, special process, quality, or technical production environment.
- Prior experience providing work direction, training, or supervision to production, quality, or technical staff.
- Strong understanding of process control, documentation discipline, safety requirements, and quality expectations in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, customer requirements, inspection criteria, production documentation, and technical specifications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a developing department.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential requirements for this role.
- Must be a US person as defined by 8 u.s.c. 1324b(a)(3)
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with electroplating, tin plating, tin whisker mitigation, chemical processing, surface finishing, or other special processes.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, electronic components, semiconductor, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with AS9100, customer flow-down requirements, special process controls, nonconformance handling, corrective action, and audit readiness.
- Experience supporting or supervising QC inspection activity in a production environment.
- Experience helping build or improve a new department, process, production cell, or controlled workflow.
- Knowledge of 6S, lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
