Position OverviewMystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated History Teacher for Grades 7–12. The successful candidate will possess strong content knowledge, a passion for history and the humanities, and a commitment to fostering academic excellence in a structured and intellectually challenging environment.

Essential Responsibilities- Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction in History and related social science disciplines.
- Develop and implement engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, analytical writing, and historical understanding.
- Design and administer assessments to measure student learning and mastery of course objectives.
- Analyze student performance data and use findings to inform instructional decisions and improve outcomes.
- Collaborate with department colleagues and grade-level teams to strengthen curriculum and instructional practices.
- Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations while fostering a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development programs, and school-wide initiatives.
- Support the mission, values, and academic standards of Mystic Valley Regional Charter School.
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in History, Political Science, Government, Classics, or a related field preferred.
- Strong content knowledge and enthusiasm for history and the social sciences.
