Responsibilities

The Talent Development Specialist supports the design, development, and delivery of learning solutions that foster employee development and a culture of learning within the SAM Companies. This role partners closely with the Talent Development team, business leaders, and subject matter experts to create engaging and impactful learning solutions for employees across the organization.

  • Assist in the assessment, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of learning solutions for SAM learning initiatives
  • Work closely with the Talent Development team and Talent Development Manager to support and prioritize learning projects
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather information and translate technical or operational content into engaging experiences
  • Develop instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning content using adult learning principles and instructional design best practices
  • Facilitate training sessions and learning events using interactive and learner-focused delivery methods
  • Utilize learning technologies and AI-enabled tools to support content development, learner engagement, and training efficiency
  • Support ongoing maintenance and administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, curriculum updates, reporting, and learner communications
  • Some travel may be necessary (approximately 10%)


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning and Development with demonstrated expertise in design, development, facilitation, and emerging technologies including AI-assisted learning tools
  • Proven proficiency in creating engaging learning content using Articulate, and other advanced content development tools (PowerPoint, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, Audio, Video)
  • Must be able to design and deliver medium to large scale training programs
  • Ability to learn complex software, systems, and processes very quickly and independently (we use ClearCo for our LMS)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Comfortable collaborating with employees at all levels of the organization, and highly interested in the professional development of others
