Patient Access Specialist

As a Patient Access Specialist, you'll be one of the first people our patients meet. You'll help create a welcoming experience while ensuring patients can access the care they need.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, staying organized, working with technology, and being part of a healthcare team.

What You'll Do

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.
• Welcome patients and complete check-in and check-out.
• Register patients and maintain accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance coverage and collect applicable patient payments.
• Assist with patient portal enrollment.
• Receive and route patient messages to the appropriate clinical team.
• Manage work queues, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and coworkers.
• Use electronic healthcare systems and other technology to support efficient clinic operations.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months–1 year of healthcare, customer service, receptionist, or related experience preferred.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new technology.
• Medical terminology and healthcare experience preferred.

Pay & Benefits

$18.00 - $27.50 per hour (Pay is based on experience.)
