About the FacilityIsuzu North America Corporation is investing approximately $280 million to build a new manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina.
This 1-million-square-foot, state-of-the-art production plant, located on more than 200 acres, will feature a flexible manufacturing line capable of producing both internal combustion and electric vehicles.

The Supplier Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for supporting quality control and assurance activities related to vehicles, components, and production processes within the manufacturing environment. This role performs inspections, identifies and documents quality concerns, supports containment activities, and assists in resolving production and supplier-related quality issues.
The position works closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure compliance with quality standards, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain safe and efficient operations.
Required Skills:- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, or quality-related environment
- Prior experience in quality control, quality assurance, or production support activities preferred
- Familiarity with defect reporting, inspection documentation, and quality procedures
- Exposure to structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 5 Whys, PDCA, Kaizen) preferred
- Basic understanding of audit readiness and ISO/IATF quality requirements preferred
- Basic understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and vehicle structures
- Familiarity with quality control systems, inspection methods, and measuring tools
- Ability to identify and document quality concerns accurately and clearly
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and operational requirements
- Team-oriented mindset with strong sense of accountability and responsibility
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of calibration processes and measurement system capability (MSA), including Gage R&R, traceability, calibration records, and out-of-tolerance handling
- Supports execution of quality control and assurance activities for vehicles, outsourced parts, and production processes under direction of quality leadership
- Performs in-process and final inspections on vehicles, components, and assemblies to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards
- Identifies, documents, and communicates quality concerns, defects, and non-conforming conditions discovered during production activities
- Supports containment activities and corrective actions related to quality issues on the production line
- Monitors adherence to inspection processes, documentation protocols, and quality procedures
- Collects and records defect, torque, inspection, and production data to support quality reporting and analysis
- Participates in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities using structured methods such as 5 Whys, PDCA, and Kaizen
- Supports process and product audits according to established quality standards and control plans
- Assists with investigation of production quality concerns, field claims, and customer issues as directed
- Coordinates with production, engineering, supplier quality, and logistics teams to support issue resolution and operational alignment
- Supports Plant Trial Runs (PTRs), engineering changes, and new model launch activities as required
- Promotes and follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and operational guidelines within the quality area
- Supports 5S, standard work, and continuous improvement activities within the department
- Performs other duties as assigned to support department and company quality goals
