As an Accounting Manager (Payroll and Equity), you will manage global payroll accounting activities and equity administration while ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient financial processes. You will work closely with internal teams and external service providers to support month-end close, audits, and ongoing finance operations.
- Manage outsourced payroll providers across multiple regions, including the United States, APAC, and EMEA, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Oversee payroll accounting activities, including funding processes, journal entries, account reconciliations, payroll accruals, bonuses, commissions, and tax-related accounts.
- Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations and labor requirements by collaborating with external payroll partners.
- Manage employee and payroll provider payments, tax authority payments, and related operational processes.
- Support retirement plan administration, employee payroll inquiries, and payroll cost analysis.
- Assist with audit requests and provide accurate financial documentation when required.
- Manage global equity administration processes, including stock-based compensation accounting and equity transaction reporting.
- Maintain accurate equity records using equity management platforms and ensure timely reconciliation of related accounts.
- Collaborate with People Operations and Legal teams on equity transactions, reporting requirements, and disclosures.
- Support annual valuation processes and continuous improvement initiatives across accounting operations.
The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional with strong expertise in payroll accounting, international finance operations, and equity administration. You should have excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in corporate accounting, payroll accounting, international accounting, or related finance roles.
- Strong experience managing full-cycle payroll accounting processes, including payroll reviews, approvals, funding, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Experience working with external payroll providers and managing multi-entity international environments.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, month-end close procedures, internal controls, and accounting best practices.
- Experience with payroll compliance processes and international accounting operations.
- Previous Big 4 public accounting experience is preferred, or demonstrated expertise in accounting controls and processes.
- Experience in the software, SaaS, or technology industry is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and G-Suite tools.
- Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, Bill.com, ADP Workforce Now, Deel, or GoGlobal.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
