Regional Operations Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Operations Specialist based in Canada.

This role supports the successful delivery of regional events and community initiatives across the Canadian market.
The position combines project coordination, event operations, membership engagement, and administrative support in a dynamic remote environment.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver high-quality experiences for professional communities.

Working closely with regional leadership, you will help drive engagement, growth, and continuous improvement across multiple initiatives.

Accountabilities:

The Regional Operations Specialist will support the planning, coordination, and execution of regional programs and initiatives while ensuring smooth operations and strong stakeholder engagement.

  • Manage multiple concurrent in-person and virtual events, coordinating timelines, deliverables, action items, and progress updates with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with operations, business development, and marketing teams to ensure successful event planning and execution using project management tools.
  • Coordinate key elements of major conferences, including proposal processes, educational content collection, speaker coordination, and agenda development.
  • Support event logistics by working with venues, technology providers, suppliers, and other external partners.
  • Provide on-site event support when required, ensuring a high-quality and service-focused experience for attendees and partners.
  • Partner with registration teams to support event registration processes, reporting, and data management.
  • Collect and analyze post-event feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance future programs.
  • Support membership growth and retention initiatives by managing inquiries, renewals, invoicing, reporting, and community engagement activities.
  • Analyze membership data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement while supporting targeted engagement campaigns.
  • Perform additional operational and administrative duties as needed.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an organized and proactive professional with experience in project coordination, event operations, and stakeholder management.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination, event management, membership operations, or a related field.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with digital tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, collaboration platforms, CRM systems, and event/project management software.
  • Experience with Cvent or similar event management platforms is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a demonstrated focus on quality, results, and continuous improvement.
  • Native-level English fluency required.
  • French language skills are considered an asset.
  • Experience supporting trade shows, conferences, or professional events is preferred.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and occasionally internationally, including to the United States.
  • Valid passport required.
  • Candidates located in the Toronto area or within the Eastern Time Zone are preferred.
