The Endoscopy RN covers various areas and assists the Anesthesia provider in the provision of deep sedation and administer moderate sedation, and maintaining presence in fluoroscopy cases. Other procedures include assistance with ERCPs, PEG Tube insertions, Bronchoscopies as assigned, and maintain the Argon Plasma Coagulator and the ERBE machine.
A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital. This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.
Education/Experience Requirements
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited associate degree
- Two (2) years Critical Care experience or combination of experience from Endoscopy, Cardiac, ICU or PACU experience.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree
*Bachelor’s degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017.
Licensure/Certification Requirements
Required:
- Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred:
- Certification in a specialty area.
Critical Care Nursing
- ACLS within one year
- PALS within one year
Pay range: $39.00 - $50.00
