Registered Nurse - Surgical Suite/Operating Room in Syracuse, New York at Crouse Hospital

The Witting Surgical Center maintains 14 inpatient operating rooms and performs over 8,000 surgeries per year including robotics in various specialties. Our team assists surgeons in colonrectal, urology, GYN, general surgery, bariatrics, orthopedics, and plastics.

A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital. This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited associate degree
• One (1) year Operating room or Surgical nursing experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree

*Bachelor’s degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:

• Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred:

• Certification in a specialty area.

Critical Care Nursing

• PALS required within one year
• ACLS required within one year
