Survey Technician/AutoCAD Operator III at C.T. Male Associates – Syracuse, New York

Do you enjoy being involved in all aspects of surveying? C.T. Male Associates, a multi-discipline surveying, engineering, environmental, and architectural firm in the Northeast, is looking for a motivated Survey Technician/AutoCAD Operator to join our team in Syracuse, NY.

What You'll Do:

• Secure information from government agencies to prepare projects for Survey.
• Input and reduce field notes for various survey types.
• Perform critical computations for construction stakeouts, boundary, topographic, and utility surveys.
• Utilize AutoCAD to create and complete deed plots, closures, mapping, and stakeout computations.
• Collaborate with project surveyors to make preliminary boundary determinations.
• Prepare detailed worksheets for mapping with proper notations and references.
• Draft survey reports and assist in creating legal descriptions for projects.
• Understand and protract deeds, maps, and easements with all proper notations.

Pay Range: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

What We’re Looking For:

• A.A.S. Degree in Surveying Technology or certificate from college or technical school; or five plus (5+) years of related experience; and/or an equivalent combination of training, education and/or experience.
• Complete understanding of AutoCAD, experience with Civil 3D is preferred.
• Knowledge of surveying and contour plotting.
• Organizational skills to manage projects and maintain neat portfolios.  Â
• Proficiency in surveying mathematics.
• Valid driver’s license.
