Position Summary

The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily appointment schedule, coordinating patient care, and ensuring efficient office flow. This role is often the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling needs.
  • Verify patient information and update records accurately.
  • Coordinate treatment appointments and follow-up visits.
  • Send appointment reminders and manage patient recalls.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to optimize the daily schedule.
  • Help minimize schedule gaps and maximize provider productivity.
  • Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist with insurance verification and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a dental office required.
  • Experience with dental practice management software Dentrix is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
