Registered Nurse - GB at Ashtabula County Medical Center – Rock Creek, Ohio

Summary: The Registered Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing care of the patients in terms of individualized needs, according to dependent and independent nursing functions in conformance with recognized nursing techniques, procedures, standards, hospital policies, and also assures documentation of all pertinent patient activity. The RN utilizes effective team leadership skills, verbal/written communication skills, managerial skills, and interpersonal skills. The RN is responsible for a full scope of nursing practice. Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Basic knowledge of signs and symptoms of substance use intoxication, dependency, and withdrawal.
• Knowledge of patient assessments, treatment planning, nursing interventions, evaluation, medican administration, and nursing care to specialty population.

Required Length and Type of Experience:

Knowledge of current trends in nursing.

Required Licensure or Certification:

Current RN in the state of Ohio.

Required Physical and Environmental Demands:

• Sitting, standing, ability to utilize keyboard, lifting, stooping, flexible scheduling, and adaptable to changing environment.
• Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
• Requires walking and standing for extensive periods of time.
• Requires hearing and vision corrected to normal range.
• May require some exposure to communicable disease and bodily fluids.
