About This Position
The Surgery Center LLC (TSC) in Franklin is looking for an RN for our Preop/PACU in Surgery, GI, Pain Management, Preadmissions departments. Ideal candidate will have med/surg background and strong nursing skills working with an array of patients of all ages.
This full-time position is Monday through Friday with varying start times, based on a 40-hour work week and does not require call, weekends or holiday shifts. Will consider 4 days 8-hour shifts. POSITION DESCRIPTION
Reports to: Peri-anesthesia RN Manager
Functions and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing patient care for GI, Pain management, and surgical patients throughout the pre-operative and post-operative phases, and additionally have some Preadmission responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
License:
Must hold a current Wisconsin State nursing license.
Certification:
Must obtain BLS and ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
Experience:
Two years of med/surg nursing experience is preferred, ideally in an ambulatory surgery center. PACU experience highly desired.

- This position requires exceptional attention to detail and follow through skills.

- Must show empathy and patience and remain composed under pressure or during high volume times, as appropriate. Maintains awareness of current policies and procedures that impact position responsibilities. Always maintains confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.
- Maintains required professional license and/or certifications. Observes all safety precautions and complies with all health and safety rules and procedures of the facility.
- Participates in quality assurance monitoring. Attends and participates in in-service programs, communication groups, and staff meetings.
- Communicates and interacts with patients, family members, and peers in a positive, team oriented, and supportive manner.
- Demonstrates current comprehensive and professional knowledge and skills related to nursing standards.
- Ensures appearance and conduct are always professional.
