Lincoln Gulch Campground is located five miles southeast of Aspen, Colorado, on Highway 82. It is located at an elevation of 8,180 feet on the banks of the Roaring Fork River on the western slope of the Colorado Rockies. Campsites are nestled in a mixed forest of aspen, cottonwood, pine, fir, scrub oak, and spruce. Several sites are at the rivers edge, offering an ideal setting for guests seeking recreation and relaxation. Difficult Campground provides access to hiking trails and fishing sites along the Roaring Fork River and neighboring beaver ponds.

There are 47 campsites and one group site which can accommodate up to 30 people and 10 vehicles. The 47 sites have limited spurs to accommodate trailers up to 40 feet. Please note that vehicles over 35 feet in length are prohibited over Independence Pass but can access the campground via Aspen. Water, garbage, and vault toilets are provided for visitors. Amenities on site include grills/fire ring, picnic table, and food lockers. This campground has a five-day stay limit.

Lincoln Gulch Campground also has a Day Use Area and Trailhead. The day use/trailhead parking lot may be used as extra vehicle parking space if a customer has more than two vehicles.
