About the role
- The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring Factory6 dietary supplements meet the highest standards of safety, purity, and efficacy. Actively monitors manufacturing processes, conducts quality checks, and maintains accurate quality documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
What you'll do
- Performs in-process quality checks throughout the manufacturing process (weighing, blending, encapsulation, packaging, etc.).
- Samples and tests incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Conducts product inspections and releases finished goods in a timely manner.
- Investigates and documents quality deviations, non-conformances, and participates in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
- Assists in internal audits and regulatory inspections (FDA, third-party, etc.).
- Maintains accurate and detailed quality records, ensuring traceability and compliance.
- Assists in developing and updating quality procedures and work instructions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a quality role within the dietary supplement, food, or pharmaceutical industries a plus.
- Strong understanding of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations for dietary supplements.
- Knowledge of quality systems like HACCP or SQF is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
The pay range for this role is:
16.50 - 19.50 USD per hour(US)
