Job Summary:
The ITAD Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying advantageous buying opportunities, negotiating favorable terms and generating steady opportunity to purchase various IT assets. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, establishing relationships with potential clients, and managing the buying process of IT assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in business development with a keen understanding of the ITAD industry.
Job Description
As an ITAD Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth for the company’s ITAD division. You will leverage your expertise in this field to identify potential clients, leverage existing industry relationships, build new relationships, and provide tailored proposals that meet clients’ ITAD needs. Your primary focus will be on selling ITAD services to businesses, including asset valuation, data destruction, equipment remarketing, and e-waste recycling.
Your deals will emphasize bringing in high volumes of high-quality retired end-user equipment (such as PCs, laptops, and mobile devices) and server/network/data center equipment to our certified ITAD recycling facility.
Responsibilities:
· Identify and prospect potential clients within various industries to promote ITAD services.
· Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including IT managers, asset managers, procurement officers, and executives.
· Conduct thorough assessments of clients' IT asset disposition needs and develop customized solutions.
· Collaborate with company’s ITAD Director and VP of ITAD to develop and execute strategic sales plan.
· Provide accurate and timely quotes and proposals to clients, ensuring alignment with their budget and requirements.
· Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to IT asset disposition and tailor solutions based on these developments.
· Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and strategies to support sales efforts.
· Track sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics, providing regular reports to management.
· Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance on compliance, security, and sustainability aspects of IT asset disposal.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proven track record of success in sales or management, preferably in the ITAD or technology industry.
· Strong understanding of IT asset management, including hardware lifecycle, data security, and environmental regulations.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships, with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention.
· Results-oriented mindset with a drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
· Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
· Have an outgoing, sociable, and extroverted mindset towards sales meetings, presentations, and network events.
· Valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards (e.g., R2V3, HIPAA, NIST).
· Familiarity with ITAD software platforms and tools for asset tracking and reporting.
· Experience working with enterprise-level clients and managing complex sales cycles.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, IT, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 3 years of experience in B2B sales of technology services, focused on medium to large businesses, with a full understanding of the IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Industry.
Job Type: Full-Time/Hybrid
Work Location: Lakewood, CO
Salary: $75k-$90k Annual + Commission
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting: Frequently lifting up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds
- Movement: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Vision: Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus
