The associate nurse manager, in collaboration with the nurse manager, leads frontline nursing staff in the delivery of patient care. The associate nurse manager coaches and guides nursing staff in the implementation of action plans to achieve organizational goals of quality, efficiency, and excellence in practice.
Adoption of innovative nursing practices based on evidence
Effective two-way communication and problem-solving at the unit and organizational level
Collaborates with the nurse manager to complete the recruitment, selection, orientation, and retention of nursing staff
Ensure nursing staff compliance with the following;
- Professional development
- Adherence to nursing standards of practice
- Regulatory standards
- ANA Code of Ethics
- Peer reviews
- Organizational and unit policies
- Mandatory education
- Infection control practice
- Scheduling processes and procedures
- I CARE standards of behavior.

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED:
-
Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
-
Previous leadership related experience

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

Possesses current state RN license.

Maintain current BLS
-
Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse License.

National Nursing Leadership Certification (when eligible).

ACLS (within 6 months of hire)

Preferred: Related Nursing Specialty Certification
