Family Outreach Specialist at Tresco, Inc. – Anthony, New Mexico

Position: Family Outreach Specialist

Overview: Provide quality family outreach services as a specialist who establishes ongoing contact through visits in the homes of families who have completed Children Youth and Family Departmental interactions and service.

Responsibilities:

1. Assure accurate documentation for all billable services to maintain revenue flow.
2. Arrange opportunities for parent education and psychoeducation.
3. Coordinate, in conjunction with the Program Manager and other Tresco Children Services.
4. Assist families to alleviate adverse conditions in order to promote their resiliency; this social worker function will address barriers to treatment through comprehensive environmental and systemic needs assessments (i.e. example: a family who misses appointments due to unemployment or no access to transportation or phone.).
5. Linking families to legal resources.
6. Be a consultant for TOTS Family Service Coordinators, Service Providers and Day One Home Visitors.
7. Assist medically involved families.
8. Assist environmentally at-risk families.
9. Coordinate the more intensive services needed by some CYFD-referred families by referring to either TOTS or Day One Home Visiting along with other community partners as required.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES.  Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education. 

1. High School Diploma or GED and early childhood experience or family interactions and assistance.
2. Bachelor's degree in addition to experience is preferred.

Experience: Services in early childhood or family interactions and assistance

  Education/Experience substitution.  In accordance with Tresco policy.

  Licenses/Certifications.  Valid driver’s license.

  Other (e.g., post-offer drug screen, background check, driver’s license record, etc.).  Employee’s must undergo a driver’s license record check; employees must pass a background check.

            KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:

• Bilingual skills are not required but are beneficial.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding clients and employees of Tresco.
• Ability to work under stressful situations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Ability to secure and maintain an NACI clearance.

Rate of Pay:  $22.00-$27.00

Pay Range: SP-3

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm
