Respite Contractors for Adults with IDD at Starpoint – Canon City, Colorado

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Respite Contractors to join our team. The ideal candidates will provide essential care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, allowing primary caregivers the opportunity to take short breaks and recharge. Starpoint is actively seeking energetic and professional Respite Providers in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Fremont County, and Chaffee County.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and supervision to individuals with IDD in the absence of their primary caregivers.

• Create a supportive and engaging environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of the individuals under care.

• Ensure the safety and security of individuals during respite care sessions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in healthcare or caregiving are a plus.

• Previous experience in providing care to individuals with special needs or disabilities.

• Ability to travel within the designated region and work flexible hours based on the needs of the individuals and families.

• Compassionate and patient demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Basic knowledge of medical and safety protocols relevant to respite care.

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
