Powers Health is hiring a Health Info Analyst – Scanning and Indexing!

Position is located at St. Mary Medical Center, Hobart, Indiana

Job Description:

The Health Info Analyst preps health records and loose materials for scanning purposes. Performs concurrent scanning and indexing. Scans and indexes discharged records. Verifies with computer generated discharge list that all charts received in Health Information Management and scans additional documents that were not previously scanned and indexed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months clerical experience preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to perform basic clerical functions.
• Must be familiar with medical terminology.
• Must have strong communication and organization skills; detail-oriented.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to work weekend and holiday rotation, accepts on-call as needed.
• May need to travel to other hospital locations to fill in for employee absences.
