Job Description

BubbleUp is looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer who will bring their experience, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help us deliver websites and apps efficiently. To be successful, one must have deep knowledge of web development and CI/CD processes, hosting infrastructure components and communicate with the development and operations team to deliver solutions that solve client’s business problems in the most efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  1. Implement DevOps infrastructure projects
  2. Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments
  3. Manage our continuous integration and delivery pipeline
  4. Collaborate with development and management teams to suggest efficient solutions
  5. Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management
  6. Secure, scale, and manage virtual environments
  7. Develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring
  8. Continuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards, make recommendations for improvement, share best practices with team on our monthly workshops

Skills & Experience

  1. 6+ years in web development
  2. Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
  3. Understanding of system administration in Linux environments
  4. Understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure concepts
  5. Proficiency in PHP, Bash and JavaScript scripting languages
  6. Experience with modern PHP and JS frameworks
  7. Experience in MySQL queries and tables structure optimization
  8. Strong communication and documentation skills
  9. Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  10. Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
  11. Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
