The role of the Payroll Specialist is to assist the accounting team with processing hourly, union and salaried payrolls efficiently. This position requires a high level of detail, communication and the ability to be self-motivated. This position can be on-site in our Minneapolis office, hybrid or remote with option to travel when needed to Minneapolis office.

Job Summary
- Process weekly payrolls through Rhumbix, Viewpoint, and ADP
- Process Semi-Monthly payrolls through ADP (including new hire pro-rated pay calculations, retro pay calculations and one-off adjustments as needed)
- Process Bi-weekly payrolls through ADP once a month (as a backup)
- Process New Hires via ADP/Viewpoint – train as backup for all company codes
- Process Terminations in ADP/Viewpoint – train as backup for all company codes
- Verification of payroll reports across systems to ensure accurate numbers
- Report on weekly Certified Payrolls for the Midwest and Eastern Divisions.
- Report running in ADP and Viewpoint for HR and Accounting as needed
- Assist with transition from ADP Workforce Now to UKG Ready implementation
- Year-end audits for tax and PTO
Skills Preferred
- High attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Able to work independently
- Previous payroll experience – in construction preferred for CPR experience, but any kind of compliance reporting (CIP or BLS) would be translatable
- Viewpoint
- ADP and/or UKG experience
