This role will be part of the hardware team which is responsible for design and development of new platforms and maintenance of the existing platforms. Responsibilities:

This role will be part of the hardware team which is responsible for design and development of new platforms and maintenance of the existing platforms. Responsibilities:
- Define HW architecture for integration into OEM vehicles
- Define and Design mechanical and thermal hardware solutions
- Design cosmetic covers and finishes for the autonomous vehicles
- Work with OEM and partners to get buy in on final designs and integration plans
- Help build and improve new and current designs
- Work with cross functional teams to define product requirements
- Ensure that your work is performed in accordance with the companys Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure team compliance with QMS, monitor quality, and drive process improvements.
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of hands-on, detailed product design experience
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, Unigraphics
- Experience working with surfacing tools on CAD tools
- GD&T knowledge and experience releasing 2D drawings
- Experience with vendor FAI/CPK dimensional reports
- Practical experience working through DFM challenges with external vendors
- Pdmlink/ Arena knowledge and experience a plus
- Extensive experience using CAD, product design, managing requirements, tracking and resolving issues and resolutions.
- Ability to work cross functionally with other departments to achieve product goals.
- Demonstrated hands-on mechanical and manufacturing process experience and engineering development.
- Experience with FEA tools and understanding of vibration, fatigue and solid mechanics
- First-principles physics understanding of multiple engineering disciplines such as: heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and electrical fundamentals.
- Ability to travel.
